Erica and I have been saying for *years* that Di was killed by Death Eaters. (B/c Dodi was a wizard, you see. And the car accident was simply a cover for the benefit of the Muggle population.) I forget that not everyone knows the dates or thinks about this stuff. I figured out the dates ages ago--I don't know if I got from the timeline or the Lexicon or if I just picked it up from the fanon (that's fandom-canon). The Di thing occurred to me back sometime after OotP, I think, and it still cracks me up. Heee.
