I have to say that I find the idea of an "ethics" of nudity in art kind of absurd. Particularly "classical" art. To me, it simply...is.

In theatre...maybe. I don't know. I guess don't find nudity offensive. What's *done* with it might be, but the state in and of itself has no moral value or lack attached to it in my mind. Does this mean that I want to go about looking at naked people all day? No.(Hence me averting my eyes at the male full-frontal nudity in Mrs. Henderson Presents.) Does it mean that I think we as a society are too fixated on the value (or lack thereof) of nudity? Yes.

Ah, I forgot to mention that Mrs. Henderson is on DVD (and has been for quite some time)--the movie came out in 2005.
