As someone who routinely performs "Baby Got Back" at Karaoke, I give this rendition two thumbs up. Its good to know that the classics never die...

I'm sure there are lots of IV folks with great senses of humor around, though I did think the video was pretty painful, just because it's not the style of parody that I like. But I know some really fun IV folks. I just had the poor fortune to work for one who decidedly had barely any humor or fun in him at all.

Yeah, watching Saved could help. I enjoyed Saved, but there were several key moments that revealed that the filmmakers didn't know their topic of evangelical subculture as well as they should have . . . Still, it was funny. And Michael Stipe (R.E.M.) was involved, which guaranteed that I had to see it.

"Baby Got Book" didn't strike any of those false notes, though. And that makes sense, since I've discovered that it was made by Intervarsity Christian Fellowship folks. I'm pleased to discover that Intervarsity has a sense of humor . . . something I wouldn't have guessed from its dealings with icelimbo.

I can't stop dancing around the house singing, "NIV with a ribbon bookmark!"
